Leviton 5360-RS2 low voltage and data line surge protector device. Safely shunts dataline surges to ground, preventing blown network cards, system lockups and interrupted data transmissions. Features include:

8-wire protection for use with RS-232 network devices only (RJ45 jacks) - typical RS-232 devices include bar code scanners, measuring tools, laboratory instruments, and factory machines that need to connect to a PC via an RS232 port 18V DC operating voltage 27V DC clamping voltage Provide protection against transient voltage surge in a facility's communication line Uses 120V AC line receptacle as a common ground (the device is only using the grounding leg of the outlet) For use in commercial and residential environments Several can be stacked together, to share a single 120V AC line receptacle as a common ground point Includes extra cord shown in photo
